SFG will grow together
with the Korean sports.
- 1981 A group of golf-loving Korean diaspora in Japan collaborated to create the Donghae Open Golf Championship.
- 1989 Changed its name to “Shinhan Donghae Open” with Shinhan SFG as a sponsor.
- 2008 Launched the “Share the Hope” Campaign for the underprivileged.
- 2019 Transformed into Asia's leading international tournament, as the first event to be tri-sanctioned by the Asian Tour, Korean Tour and Japan Golf Tour.
The Shinhan Donghae Open, which marks its 40th anniversary this year, has contributed to the development of the domestic golf industry since its establishment in 1981 to develop Korean golf and discover outstanding players, establishing itself as an international major competition representing Asia.
In the future, we will strive to make the Shinhan Donghae Open into a festival that transcends golf tournaments and becomes one with true sharing and hope.
We aim to interact with baseball fans
through various baseball-related financial products and platforms,
and to grow with the KBO League by
providing benefits and enjoyment that only Shinhan can present.
To help handball become a popular winter sport that people love, we will contribute to the developments of the Korean handball league and handball in general.
